I like to explore the color of moonlit landscape in an imaginary way. As the moon rises, sometimes quite large on the horizon, and the brightness of cast shadows of a full moon appear stark with strong definition, I find that the quality of illusion and mystery inspire expression. In this painting, I thought more of moonlight as it rises, illuminating the magic of music as it does in an outdoor concert – under the stars.
